Riki is a Nautical 60' sailing Ketch and has a hand laid fibreglass hull.
Originally designed for the owner of Seaton Yachts (who built the Nautical design) , she was launched in 1991. Displacing almost 25 Tonnes her classic hull shape with high cut bow means she is very stable under way with little or no roll in heavy weather.
In 2008 Riki had a full deck up refurbishment, both masts were taken off and the deck stripped. Everything was newly painted in Oyster White Awlgrip. She was also given a brand new set of Doyle Sails, re-rigged with all new halyards, lines and a new Anchor and chain. The fully enclosed helm house/bimini and aft dodger were renewed in Captain Navy Sunbrella fabric complimented by new red sunbrella cushions.
Riki is 'Ketch' rigged, so has one main mast and a smaller Mizzen mast to the aft. A powerful 140 HP Perkins marine diesel engine provides ample motoring power when needed.
Unusually for a vessel of her size Riki has a lifting keel plate, this means she can moor right up close to the best beaches when other yachts are stuck anchoring further off shore.
The yacht is equipped with the latest radar and GPS navigation systems plus VHF radio and a WifI aerial for internet access. She carries an 8 person ocean rated liferaft aboard, plus lifejackets, flares and a distress homing beacon.
